Raizel grew up on shlichus, a daughter of the Rebbe’s emissaries, and carried that warmth into every room she entered.

Those who knew her describe the same thing, over and over: she genuinely saw the good in everyone, and she made each person she met feel cared for, seen, and accepted. She had a kind heart, a ready smile, and a quiet simcha that people felt simply by being near her.

In her twenty-three years she touched more lives than most people do in a lifetime — and in the days since, that love has poured back, in mitzvos and good resolutions taken on in her name from across the world.

At our camp for Shluchim’s children in Sweden there is a sign in the kitchen dedicating the meals to Raizel.

Hi Nechama! It’s adelle bryski I really was so impacted from the loss of your daughter Raizel. Although I never knew her I just couldn’t stop thinking about the tragedy. The pain. My nephew was born September and he’s been mainly living in the hospital until now, IYH in a couple of weeks he’ll do an open heart surgery. Since the beginning we started an initiative to bake challah for him.. we try to get 40 sign ups every week to bake in honor of him. A few weeks ago I decided to bake Raizel’s recipe for him. I can’t explain it but I just felt good that I’m doing a double type of mitzvah. Using Raizel’s recipe so she can live on and hoping to increase my nephews refuah. Not to mention, it tastes delicious and every time I used other recipes it felt hard but this one felt easy and fast. I hope this brings you comfort❤️ Good shabbos!

Dear Nechama,

No words can describe the great loss that you and your family suffered with the sudden passing of your precious daughter Raizel. I always admired her as a real Tzadekes the way she worked so loyally and content always with a smile in her own quiet way. The strenuous kitchen work looked so easy when I watched her. She was a pure and precious neshama. Hashem should give you strength to go on with your holy ambitions. Raizel a'h will be a role model for us and be a "meilitza yosher" for you, your family and all Jewish people. We want Moshiach NOW.

I don’t often make enough dough to take challah and make a ברכה but this week I made Raizel’s challah, took the time to daven for others and shared it with people from my community. Raizel inspires me to be a more loving, giving person, to share my love of cooking and baking with others, and to really live in the moment. By giving of our food and our time we can be like Raizel. Raizel we miss you so much💔💔
